Lugo takes Silver
Senior Tony Lugo placed 2nd at Thursday's CC Meet
Senior Cross Country Runner Tony Lugo placed 2nd at the season opening meet on Thursday. Lugo led a host of Bobcats to a 7th place team finish at the Gingerbread Jamboree.
The meet, known for its "Mud Pit", draws teams from all over North Central Texas. Thousands of runners competed in the event held on the banks of Lake Lewisville.
Junior Casey Sharp finished next for the Bobcats, seconds ahead of Senior Jose Marcileno. A pair of juniors, Bryson Laird and Mitchem Martin, finished 4 and 5 on the team.
Also running well for the Bobcats were Sophomores Carter Marquis and Kody Cloud. Senior Joshua Dotson and Freshman Brent Boone finished between the pair, and were followed by Juniors Houston Porter and Brock Hughes.
Also finishing well for the Cats were Seniors Dustin Hymes and Alix Fichera, Junior Anderson Broughman, Sophomores Blake Hill and James Bingham, and Freshmen Kade Blackwell, Tanner Dieleman, and Hayden Polley.
