Senior Spotlight
Name:
Taylor Schertz
Activities involved in at KHS:
FFA, Varsity Girls Basketball, FCCLA, NHS, and Student Council.
Favorite TV Show:
Friends
Favorite Quote:
The most meaningful quote to me is from my Gramma: “Never Panic and Never Give Up.” She tells me this every time before I step foot onto the basketball court and the show ring.
Who is your favorite teacher and why?:
My favorite teacher is Mr. Pieniazek because he always knows how to brighten someone's day. From his unusual stories to his random singing sessions, he can always manage to bring a smile to my face.
What has been your greatest challenge in high school:
I believe that my greatest challenge at KHS has been time management. From being involved in athletics and multiple extra-curricular activities, it is often hard to make time to accomplish everything. However, I know that this will ultimately prepare me for the future and help me in the long run.
What are your future plans?:
My future plans beyond graduating from Krum High School include going to Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. I hope to major in either Animal Science or Ag. Communications and become a livestock marketing professional.
What is your advice for Freshmen?:
My greatest advice for freshman is to step outside of your comfort zone and get involved. My greatest regret in high school is not taking every opportunity that was given to me. You always think that you will have a second chance, but before you know it, you are graduating.
Who is your hero and why?:
My hero would have to be my Dad. He has always been my number one supporter when I am both on the basketball court and in the show ring. He has taught me to always do everything to the best of my ability, and he has served as an incredible role model for my sisters and I.
