Courtnie Roberts takes on Krum


Courtnie Roberts loves to play volleyball year round, and hang out with close friends and family. She offers advice to younger students, and aspires to be a lawyer. Activities involved in at KHS: Varsity Volleyball and NHS Outside Activities: Part of Church of Christ Youth Group, year round select volleyball, help with special olympics, hang out with close friends and family. Most Prized Possession: My bible, my niece and nephew, and my car 3 things I have with me at all times: My keys, my phone, and sweet tea What was your favorite childhood toy? My soccer ball because we always had fun games to play with it. Favorite Quote: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. I’m actually a big softy at heart. Who is your favorite teacher and why? Mr. Warrick because he is awesome and he teaches us in a way that is fun and entertaining but we still learn a ton. What have you learned at KHS that has made a difference in your life? There will always be friends to support you whether you win or lose or anything of that matter. What has been your greatest challenge in high school? To not procrastinate and get my work done early. What are your future plans? I plan to attend the University of Delaware and major in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. Hopefully one day I will become a lawyer. What is your advice for Freshmen? Don’t think that you have to hang out with the older kids to be cool. Take your time and enjoy all of high school. Don’t rush into things or do things that are out of your character just to impress others. Who is your hero and why? My older brother D.J. because he was been through a lot of obstacles in the past few years and he always finds a way to still smile. He is always striving to get better and always shows compassion for everyone no matter color, religion, or sexuallity and that is the thing I truly admire most.
