Star Wars: A New Film Review

“Star Wars: A New Hope” was the biggest movie in 1977. It was made for $13 million, and it grossed $775 million, including overseas revenue. The film follows a young farm boy named Luke Skywalker, who joins the rebellion and destroys the empire, all while discovering Darth Vader is his father. Star Wars was followed by the “Empire Strikes Back,” released in 1980, which was followed by “Return of the Jedi” in 1983. The star wars saga became so popular they decided to tell the story of Anakin Skywalker becoming the notorious Darth Vader. His story is in the star wars prequels. The prequels include “The Phantom Menace” in 1999, and “Attack of the Clones” in 2002. Following those movies was “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith”, which came out in 2005. In this film, Anakin turned to the dark side of the force. “Star Wars: A New Hope” has won many awards including, but not limited to, the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Movie, and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score. The saga continued to be such a huge success that they decided to make a prequel trilogy too. The first one was “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in 2015. The saga’s very first standalone film was “Rogue One.” Rogue One follows the story on how the rebels stole the death star plans before “A New Hope.” This film takes place between episodes 3 and 4. Lucasfilm and Disney will release more Star Wars movies throughout the next few years.
