The Queen
Senior Spotlight
Mallory Stevens has served her time as a member of FFA and FCCLA. As a senior, she is looking forward to graduating
and pursuing her lifelong dream of
being a Vet. Activities involved in at KHS: I’m involved in FFA and FCCLA. Favorite TV Show: Walking Dead, The Office, & Grey’s Anatomy Favorite Quote: “You can’t have a rainbow without the rain’’ Who is your favorite teacher and why? Probably Ms. Harner because she genuinely cares about her students and has always helped me whether I was in her class that year or not. She’s super fun and sweet and one of the best math teachers in Krum High. She makes learning fun and enjoyable and doesn’t make math as miserable as it is. What has been your greatest challenge in high school? The biggest challenge during high school would be getting prepared for college and the “ real world.” I moved from a college prep private school to a country town public school. It’s like a completely different world. Having to get used to different kinds of people and different teaching methods isn’t all that easy. What are your future plans? I plan to go to Tarleton State University and then transfer after 4 years to A&M to pursue my lifelong dream of being a vet. What is your advice for Freshmen? My biggest advice to freshman would be to not take everything so seriously. Yes, keeping your grades up and staying focused is always good but you have to have fun. High school is one of the funnest times you’ll ever have, so you have to cherish it while you can. Go to the football games and cheer as loud as you can in the student section, be a part of the traditional Blue Trash because you’ve only got four years to be a part of it. Don't wait until senior year to be a part of things, because if you do, I promise you will regret it. Who is your hero and why? My heroes are my parents because they’ve put up with me and supported me throughout everything I do. They’ve always had such good advice and have pushed me to the best I can be. They have always pushed me to be strong even when times get tough and that no matter what I can be whatever I set my mind to.
